NAEYC:
To be familiar with the knowledge base of early
childhood care and education and to stay informed
through continuing education and training.http://www.naeyc.org/files/naeyc/file/positions/PSETH05.pdf
DEC:
We shall demonstrate in our behavior and language respect and appreciation for the unique value
and human potential of each child.http://www.dec-sped.org/uploads/docs/about_dec/position_concept_papers/Code%20of%20Ethics_updated_Aug2009.pdf
I chose these two because we must demonstrate at all times in our behavior and language as professionals the respect and appreciation for the unique value and human potential of each child. We must also stay on top of our knowledge as educators and continue getting knowledge so that we can grow and help others.
Keeping our knowledge base updated is SO important. It is becoming more and more relevant to me HOW important it is from week to week in this class. I think in each assignment we have done it has somehow been mentioned to us how important it is to continue learning and growing as an educator. Good choices!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. No matter where we are or what we are doing we must always appreciate children. Knowledge is the key to everything because the only way a person gets better is to have knowledge and continue to receive knowledge.
ReplyDeleteShereva,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your very interesting posts. I noticed that you interact a lot with your family. That's very good. Family teaches a person so much. The values that have been instilled in you will contribute to your professional growth. God Bless and may He give you grace and mercy to endure in this field.
